My Masquerade~My Masquerade~

For the world I am displayed;
They always watch but cannot see
through my masquerade.

I feel every moment fly;
My heart is beating, pulse racing,
breath held as I lie.

My innocence I can't defend;
I know that surely this will linger
'til my very end.

I brought this all upon myself;
Mask upon mask, lie upon lie
like valueless wealth.

Dare I take these masks off – no!
My former self haunts me
everywhere I go.

False glory, false honor, false fame;
With all these masks I seem to have
forgotten my own name.

A HeartA heart does not have eyes,
so it is blind,

A heart does not have ears,
so it is deaf,

But a heart does have a beat,
and it beats for you, my love.

Stand aloneA girl stands,
Alone and weak

As insults rain down

Tears pour,
Across her rosy cheeks
Staining once pure skin

Slut

Whore

Bitch

Each word,
Is a knife to her heart.

You're worthless

Just kill yourself

No one would care

Silently she moves
Their taunting words
Haunting her every move

Where are you going?

Oh wait it doesn't matter

No one would love a bitch like you.

When she gets home,
Her mother doesn't ask
How she is

She goes to her room,
Cries more than she ever has before
And wishes for her life to end

As she falls asleep
She prays for some escape
From her personal hell.

Then she awakens the next day

a passionate ambition.

a battle fought;
a superficial mission.

a driving force;
a forgiving comfort.

A dream can be
a thriving source;
a deceitful consort.

A dream can thrill you;
drive you or kill you.

Kiss Your ScarsSharp blades to the skin
Sharp darts to the heart
Drink water to make you thin
He tore your world apart

Reflections of a former self
Indelibly etched on your memory
Take those thoughts and emotions
and share each one of them with me

I will put them with my own
My lies, my deceit, my sin
Kiss your scars, heal the wounds
of your perfect skin

Kiss your scars, heal your heart
Taste your blood on my lips
My heart now beats as one with yours
For each other we now choose to exist

In a Little Girl's MindThere sits the girl with the things in her eyes
Monsters, destruction, and sweet butterflies
Hopscotch and daisies, surrounded by screams
Beautiful dresses now torn at the seams
Crayons and paintbrushes, villains and grins
Young, gladsome innocence, hatred and sins
Little red houses on roads left to fade
Gorgeous moonlight shining off of the blade
Blood pouring out as she cries her own name
Knowing she's forced to take each bit of blame
She could have stopped it and left it behind
All of these things in her troubled young mind
She could have saved them if she dared to try
Rather, though, she left herself there to die.

Who Needs Friends?Dear Loneliness,
Will you be my friend?
Because I seem to just be a trend,
That the world has put to bed.

Dear Sorrow,

Because Happiness has run a mile,
Just like everything else I need.

Dear Pessimism,

Because Optimism is a slippery slope,
When you've seen the world.

Dear Apathy,
Will you make me care?
Because I hate Interest's flare,
In a place too dull for life.

Dear Agony,
Will you make me content?
Because you're the one that'll prevent,
That which I long for.

Dear Death,
Will you make me feel alive?
Because I don't even want to survive,
In a world that cares too much.

Please, forgive me.Like lies, you said
I make breathing the cosmos
through rose colored lungs
look easy- vertebrae stretched
toward the moon.

& I'm hanging my bones
out to dry, carving Saturn's
rings into my wrists- my
star burst ankles.

I swore then I'd keep my
black tongued poetry
& uprooted limbs far,
far away from you.

But, like lies, galaxies,
& night fevers, you
are the destination
on my star map skin.

My VirginityWoe betide this beautiful, charming boy
Trying too hard to fill your heart with joy
Selfless deeds do still exist
But suspicious minds prefer you to be selfish

Take care though and consider with caution
Allowing me too close can lead to obsession
Regulate your responses in such a way

Please leave the door open for me, starlight

I might not be coming home tonight

Though my mind tells myself I feel fine

I guess my body won the battle this time

My heart did feel heavy that particular day

But such a burden to others I never like to say

What is bothering me or the way that I feel

They pry me open like a weapon concealed

But all around me people were screaming

For what I don't know the purpose or meaning

But just then I felt the plastic on my face

And a warm fluid enter my veins

The last thing I remember were simple words

"I'll always love you" by my favorite girl

And those lights that shined brigh

To be with youI want to be with you now,
I've never felt this way.
You're the one i want every day,
the one who can make me smile
just by being here.
I don't need things, or fun,
just having you here is enough.

Yes, I still have my fears,
But it's only a small part.
I know you're not like them.
You won't break my heart,
you promise you'll return,
you need things to fall into place
before we can be together always,
You made that promise to me,
and I'm hoping it's one you'll keep.

You understand me better than anyone,
Your the closest anyone has come.
I just want this waiting to be done.

Is It Wrong?Is it wrong
That I glance up at the clouds,
Feeling the wind through my hair,
And dream of a mystifying land
Where one can be accepted no matter what?

Is it wrong
That I choose to wear jeans down past my heels,
Baggy and ripped at the knees,
Unlike all the other boys that wear athletic
Shorts, so unscathed and clean?

Is it wrong
That I ask people about their troubles,
Sometimes doing all in my mortal power
To help them surpass the simple,
Even ones I have not defeated myself?

Is it wrong
That while the few friends I have
Dance around giddily and go to
The most extreme only to impress,
But I only hang back in silent content

Keep on DreamingThere are dreams in this world
Dreams of anything and everyone

Dreams are more than we believe
More than we actually dream

Dreams inspire
With a bit of faith
Dreams can become reality

Dream on, keep dreaming
You never know where those dreams may go.

Dreams change the world
Dreams can do anything

Dreams created the world
As everything that ever is, or was,
Began with a dream.

_{Remember the angel that wiped your tears and made you brightly smile?
You always told her to let you be; you were always in denial.

Remember the angel that sang you to sleep and played with your hair?
You never cared to have her near you, though that smile was still there

Remember the angel that waited for you, the one who waited countless hours?
You never seemed to even notice, I guess that was your power

Remember the angel that saved your life, risking also her own?
You ran away and left her there, you left her there alone

Remember the angel that fell from heaven, only to be with you?
You marked her with your sin and made her feel brand new

Remember the angel with crystal eyes and long white hair let down?
You see how she feels alone; do you see that awful frown?

Remember the angel, please remember her now, can't you feel her love?
All of that was only for you , sent from above
