You say your life is falling to pieces
You say his doesn't matter, he is only a fetus
But once you make the choice to take his own life
You might as well stab him with the blade of a knife
'Cause he won't come back, he won't ever live
He won't learn to walk, to smile, or be active
He won't ever cry when he falls off his bike
He won't say, 'mommy, I love you, good night.'
That tiny little baby that you never knew
Will never have his hopes and wishes come true
He can't change the world or set things straight
He can't say he's sorry after he makes a mistake
No one can tell you what that boy can devise
Not from the tip of his nose or the gleam in his eye
Your unborn son is going to be so great
He's going to have lots of friends and go on many dates
His hair will be blonde with many curls
But don't be too mad when he loses your pearls
Once he is two he'll drive you nuts
He'll come up with excuses and ifs and buts
But most of all, he'll be your entire life
But not if you take away his only right
So before you murder the baby in your belly
And turn his skin into particles and jelly
Look at your future and look at your baby
Please don't be selfish and maybe
just maybe
He'll watch as his bride walks down the isle
He'll start to cry and stare with a smile
He'll look to you and whisper those words
That have been stuck in your head and left unheard
'Mother I love you, you gave me my wife.
But not only just her, but also my life'
And that my dear friends is why I am PRO LIFE!!!
Thank you for making it! :')
I don't want an argument, but I'm curious if you think that abortion should be outlawed in all cases...I know some pro-lifers do.
I personally think that it is not right as a form of birth control, but that in some circumstances, with a doctor's agreement, it is acceptable. I do not think that the fetus is a person yet (during the time abortion is legal, the baby does not think or feel) but I agree that it is destroying potential.
Therefore, I don't think that abortion is murder, but that it is entirely undesirable.
But the whole the baby can't think and feel is bull crap. Okay, yea, he is a tiny little guy, and he likely can't think cause his little brain is growing, but he can still feel. He has a beating heart at 4 weeks old. o.o That's usually when you find out you're pregnant. And that heartbeat might be small, but it means he is alive. =/ ya'know? And it's just like.....yea, maybe if you yanked him out of the mom's tummy he would die, but if you did that to a 23 week old baby, he would, too. My sister was born at that age and if it wasn't for doctors she would have died. Does that mean, she wasn't a person? of course not. =/ She is still a person.
And that technically would mean mentally challenged people don't deserve life because they can't take care of themselves without someone else there and they also can't think for themselves. I guess all I am trying to say is that even though we're small, when we have a heartbeat, we have life. We as humans need to protect life; not be selfish and destroy it. Dx
On the other hand, I disagree that "the whole the baby can't think and feel is bull crap". At the time when most people get abortions, the heart actually is not beating yet. Sometimes, it is a medical emergency, however. But even so, a heartbeat means nothing. That just means that they are circulating blood in order to dispose of waste, etc. The heart has nothing to do with feelings!
At this stage, the brain is not developed. It cannot think or feel pain, as some pro-life propoganda declares. At a certain point of development, the third stage, abortion is illegal.
And your sister was born prematurely. However, she was already developed enough to survive with medical help. Abortion at this stage is illegal.
Of course she is human. The issue is whether an eighth of an inch long lump of cells that cannot think or feel is more valuable than the mother.
Mentally disabled people are a different story. They still have brain function, hello! They still think! They still feel pain!
It's actually more like someone in a coma. The family has been paying for care for a year now, but it looks like Grandpa is stuck in it. The family has the right to end care.
And yes, it is alive. It's like a little vegetable that cannot think or feel.
All in all, I think that abortion is the choice of the mother.
